Poetry: Surrendered

                          Surrendered

i met someone
who brings Sun to my mellow days
and smiles to my anguished table
fate in the hands of time
the energy overflows
that it fills my cup
scabs of past remedied itself
with clement threads
comforting enough
i forgot what pain feels like

Hail!
Mother of God
onto your hands I surrender
these gifts of spiritual labour
and hopeful song of Zion
come
bring these offerings to His merciful feet
through the eyes of mercy
surrendered
for all that came
and is yet to come
