Poetry: Warm Showers

Warm Showers

I thought about the arduous days

long and hard

words dripped,

When I stayed in my thoughts

And slept with eyes so wet

Raining over the pillows

That never did much to my slumber

Pain,

I long to let go

Under the warm sprinkles

Above my head

I closed my eyes

Darkness

Befell upon those harrowing corners

I saw nothing

Then in silence the waters washed me

Off my bad days

words then drizzled down,

Whispering hope is on its way

Where I'll find myself weeping no more

All colourful and bright never grey

Dear warm showers,

Grazing softly against this tired skin

thank you

sincerely,

your lover
