Little things
February just flew by,
Just like that so swiftly in a blink of an eye,
There were a couple of hello's and a handful of goodbyes,
With people walking into life with a gleeful hi,
Not forgetting the ones that make you sigh,
A big special thank you to the ones that made us cry,
Because if life's easy, that's a lie,
For it teaches us how to live, breathe and survive, not to die

Hello March,
Finally we meet again,
In case you were wondering, I'm still sane,
Though there were less pleasures and more pain,
I've enjoyed the good and kept the bad in vain,
Walked through crooked but keeping on a straight lane,
Muddled through sunny days and heavy rain,
Creating memories and forgiving the remain,
Sometimes those voices they whisper in my brain,
But instead of black in rainbow colors I paint,
Since we always did need more love than hate

Another day, another 8-5 job,
Though it's hard, I try not to sob,
Because there's more to it than paperwork and collecting swabs,
This could be one's final pit stop,
For more life-time and longer heart throbs,
Though it's hard, I try not to sob,
Because there's more to it than paperwork and collecting swabs,
This could be one's final pit stop,
For more life-time and longer heart throbs,
Saw a patient today,
Tall, dark, quiet and had not much to say,
On the trolley they tried to make him lay,
So many times, so many ways,
With his headphones on he stared at his mother May,
Looking worried with her long strands of grey,
His big brown eyes were telling her not to go but stay,
As the anaesthetist and surgeons wants no delay,
Using clay and plastic gloves trying to distract him to play,
Standing there, something whispered, hey,
We are all humans anyway
