Poetry: Serendipity

                                                        Serendipity

The fiery sky beemed with glee,
The monsoon wind danced swiftly,
Across the river and past the busy city,
She was fun, bold and quirky,
Sipping glasses of margherita instead of tea,
Caring and gentle was he,
Eyes full of love, cute and witty
The night was young and they let it be,
Laughing away the day's woes by the quay

Never in a million years did she knew,
Nor did she realize or had a clue,
That he'd walk into her life out of the blue,
And into her heart he'd get into,
Full of love, compassion and humor too,
The walls to her soul he broke through,
With a promise that he'd stay forever true

Dear God, could she hold on to those words,
She's been hurt, broken, torn and much worse,
Would this then be a reassuring verse,
Or in turn an unprecedented curse,
For she'd been down that road far too long, knows it's fierce,
Brought nothing but pain, misery and tears,
Scarred memories and hurting words that can't be reversed

He was and is everything that she ever dreamed of,
Full of passion and full of love,
Came just in time when she was to give up and shove,
Everything about love, away to Him up above,

Maybe but surely,
She'd give away her heart to him ever sincerely,
With all of her mind, spirit, body and soul purely,

How wonderful time works its play,
As it lurks every second, every minute of the day,
For amongst the days where faith lies astray,
Beautiful memories were made to stay,
Washing every sadness and despair away,
Like the festive music so merry and gay,
Like the Sun that lights up the sky so grey,
He walked into this life of hers making his way,
Like Easter on a midsummer's day,
With a twelve roses mistletoe bouquet

My dear,
You brought love and hope back,
Lit up the darkness in her soul that was once black,
Led her towards truth, showered her with respect.
Funny how time works now that we're a pact,
Her cup of life feels full, that it's you she met
