Poetry: If Walls Could Talk

                    If Walls Could Talk

Oh sage echoes of time,
Years have been hard,
An arduos climb,
Days were unyielding,
Abundant were the stories of crime,
But these memories are kept,
They're as precious as dime,
Reminiscing to the tune of a hopeful rhyme,

Sounds of your footsteps,
Still lingers through these walls,
Laughters through your adversities,
Still plays along these halls,
Comforting indeed,
This resounding history of ours,
Filled with courage despite the falls,

Many were the lessons you've learnt,
Amidst the fights and bridges burnt,
And those regrets of time that can't be turned,
Yet you stand,
Gleaming with pride
Stealthily as a rock,
As down the road of future we walk,
Plenteous are your stories to unlock,
If only walls could talk
