Poetry: Last Laugh

                            Last laugh

Will we close our eyes
And say the same
Spinning around to sunny days
In darkness it came
Maybe it's true
Old things must pass
You'll still be sipping coffee
Off the toaster I bought you
Of our first night under that Banyan tree
Chasing after your voice
As memories fade
Take it if you want, I don't care,
Just tired
Just, tired.

Shall we stay awhile
And watch the seasons turn
Like honey and tea
Life won't be waiting so they say
I'll I join you again under that tree,
For a spin to our song,
Perhaps hum the tune of us
Till our last laugh?
