Poetry: Air Bubbles

                                Air Bubbles

The waves cuddled the shore
As my feet sunk
Into the wet Earth
Blue saltwater greeted my skin
Washing away all in despair
Intertwined between hate and love
But it left behind foible gifts
Little air bubbles sat
on my standing leathered limbs
Uncountable
Reminding me of all the imperfections
Of life that never meant to be perfect
Calling unto everything good under the Sun
Blessing my sorrows with hope
In days ahead
That even in healing
There are scars worth keeping

Only to grow
