Poetry: Lay With Me

Dancing on table tops
Till the sun stops spinning
Round and round
Oh no,
the veil falls down
I found God
On the corner of the room
where were you?

The only one I've ever known
eyes staring back wearily
lying on the floor
Just a little late
Early morning
little chirpings breaks dawn
the days bursting into life
we'll do it all over again
Everything
Ironic,
We don't need anything
Just be

How do I say this?
I don't quite know
Can I lay here
Only for a minute
Come
Forget what they said
they never needed us
Neither do we
find our own voices
Come
lay here with me
